Mission

At POLO Interior Design we have developed an integrated, project-specific approach that is rooted in the multidisciplinary ecosystem of the POLO platform. We tackle every project with an open-minded attitude; our designs are based on a critical analysis of a particular  brief and context as well as an intense dialogue with clients and endusers. In this practice we can fall back on knowhow built up over more than 30 years of experience, as interior design has been an intrinsic part of POLO from the very beginning. 

Sense & sensitivity

More than any other branch of spatial design, interior design engages the individual in a personal, emotional and multisensory manner. We design spaces that stimulate the user through colours, lighting, materials, textures, acoustic properties…

Authenticity & craft

Our designs are never skin-deep. They grow out of a profound analysis and interpretation of a project’s circumstances and lead to a custom-designed answer that is unique and authentic.

Participatory strategies

Our relationship with the client is not based on a simple provision of design services in response to a brief. We believe a truly satisfying result can only spring from a deeper engagement.

Sustainability

Interior design projects are by and large fast track projects. While this forms part of the appeal of our profession, it also stands as a reminder that interiors generally comprise the components with the shortest lifespan within a building. Therefore the issue of sustainability always plays a prominent and urgent role in our design practice.
